What a MONTH!!

NEW ARRIVALS!

With a larger shop comes a lot more space for … you guessed it.. FABRIC! 

And the trucks have been showing up like crazy!  Here are some pictures of what is new in the shop.  As always, we post pictures of new arrivals on Facebook and Instagram so if you see something you like but are too far to get here in person remember that we ship for very reasonable rates so message us with your order and we will get it to you.  You can send a message on Facebook or Instagram or you can simply text 530.321.8833 with a picture of the fabric and how many yards you need along with your mailing address and we will contact you for payment.  It’s that simple!  Then all that’s left is to look for that JOY in your mailbox. 

We need your help

Aprons for Autism is still receiving orders for aprons and we need your help to fill those orders.  If you have an apron kit that you haven’t made yet or just a little extra fabric in your stash that you are willing to donate to this good cause and can take a day to make a few aprons and get them to us, we are grateful for the help.  We just shipped 15 aprons to Sacramento Autism Spectrum and Special Needs Program.  We need 75 Adult size aprons for another facility.  We know that this takes time away from other quilting projects but there are many Adults and Children that will benefit from an Apron, so thank you in advance.  Finished Aprons can be shipped to 22025 Gilmore Ranch Rd, Red Bluff Ca 96080 or dropped off to the same location.

JOY JOY JOY

There have been several brave quilters that have signed up to use JOY (our HandiQuilter Longarm).  Of course there is a learning curve and this month we are so pleased that Vicki Haldane is going to help teach a few people how to use JOY!  Limited spots were available for this and those spots filled up quickly, but not to worry, the more people that learn how to use JOY the more people will be available to help others learn.  After all, that is what quilters do, they pass along the knowledge to fellow quilters.  Using JOY is still FREE, all you have to do is sign up on our website by clicking HERE***

Classes are coming!

The new shop is bright and beautiful and full of JOY but what about the old shop?  Well, we are working on getting that space transformed into a classroom.  That’s right… we know that quilters like to learn new things and hopefully in January there will be classes to sign up for so you can learn all kinds of new things.  If there is a class you would like to take or a teacher you would like to learn from please reach out to us and let us know.  Just like the shop is a quilt shop for the people, the classroom is a place to learn and share for the people as well.  We want every quilter to be encouraged and have the opportunity to learn and grow and become the best, most joyful quilter they can be.

What?  You’re leaving again?

One more time… Yes, we have one more show to go to in Roseville on Nov. 10th and 11th.  The Pioneer Quilt Guild Show.  We hope to see you there as it promises to be a great show and we can always gather both inspiration and JOY from seeing other quilters creations.

The JOY PROJECT continues…

So many of you made JOY blocks that are proudly displayed in the shop and they are just like quilters… AMAZING!  They give everyone that comes into the shop a shot of JOY and it brings a smile to their face.  Thank you for everyone that made a block… but… the new shop is BIG and we want to wrap the entire shop in JOY so, if you haven’t made a JOY block please consider making one and sending it to us.  It doesn’t need to be complicated or fancy.  Just a 12 inch finished block with a 2 inch sleeve on the back.  No quilting or batting is required, you can simply pillowcase it with another square to finish the edge.  Please sign the block and the most important thing is that it says JOY somewhere on the front.

I’m sitting in the shop writing this at 6 am thinking how lucky I am to have so many good people willing to help and support Quilt Culture.  You all are truly an amazing group and I couldn’t do any of this without you.  Thank you.
