Aprons for Autism Update

It’s been 12 months since we began donating aprons to children and adults with Autism. While we didn’t hit our goal, we did donate 3326 Aprons all over the world. We of course couldn’t have done it without the help of so many quilters from so many places.

Aprons for Autism also became a non-profit organization in 2023. We will continue to donate to fill the needs in order to help children and adults with Autism as well as the educators and caregivers that are working every day to help.

$5 Block of the Month

Starts February 2024! There is limited space for this BOM.

When: the 2nd Monday of each month 10am to 3pm

Where: Quilt Culture 22025 Gilmore Ranch Rd

Cost: $5 (the fee will be waived if you bring with you the completed

block from the previous month)

Sign up fee: $15

You will receive the pattern block box when you sign up and pay your sign up fee. Each month on the 2nd Monday you will receive 4 pieces of fabric to make your block. You will get to choose them yourself so be sure to come early to get the best selection. Hours will be 10am to 3pm

** You must show up in person on the 2nd Monday with your completed block in order to get your fabric for the next months block for FREE. If you cannot make it, that’s ok, it just means that month will cost $5 to get your fabric.

FREE Classroom… yes… FREE!

Who can use the classroom? Tell us more…. First, the classroom is available at no charge. It is available to be booked by teachers, small groups, retreat groups, quilters, knitters, weavers, crafters, etc.. If you need a place to learn, teach, meet and commune with your people, this is the place. Do you have a class you would like to take? Do you have a teacher you would like to learn from? Do you need more space for your small group? This classroom was built to seat 12. There is an ironing station and a cutting station and plenty of design wall space. It is available to book immediately so please reach out via email (natalie@quiltculture.art) or phone/text (530.321.8833) if you would like to book it.

Where are we headed?

We have been busy setting up quilt shows and pop up shop events. You can always check out the Events Tab on our website or check out the events on Facebook. We love seeing you in the shop but are also filled with JOY when we see you at the shows. We will be doing our best to take the shop with us to each event and make each event special.

The JOY Project

The response to the JOY project was fantastic but we still have some spaces to fill. If anyone would like to make a 12” JOY block for the shop it would be awesome to complete the circle of JOY around the shop.

Shop Hop Block of the Month

The Barn Star Sampler Shop Hop Block of the Month starts in January. We had an amazing response, 200 sign ups, and look forward to seeing you all throughout the year. If you didn’t get to sign up for this one, keep an eye out for the next one. You can also tag along with a friend that is participating and get to see the following shops throughout the year.

NEW FABRIC

Haven’t seen many posts about fabric deliveries in December. Well, it isn’t because we haven’t been getting fabric. Here are some pics of what has come in throughout December.

We have so appreciated everyone that has come in, shown up and supported all the things we are doing at Quilt Culture. We will always strive to contribute to your knowledge of quilting, your sense of belonging and community and the health of your wealth by offering reasonably priced quilting supplies, long arm quilting services and spaces to meet at no cost.
