UPComing EVENTS

The next 2 months are going to be busy with all sorts of events including Quilt Shows in Sonora, Roseville, Sacramento and PIQF in Santa Clara.

We also will be doing POP UP Shops in Chester and Burney. Don’t forget to come to the North State River Run!

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to see us at these events because the shop will be open even if we are out of town so you can still come to FREE Open Sew, Handwork Happy Hour and Handwork Humpday or just stop by to check out the shop and pick up whatever you may need for your projects.

A Quilt Shop for the People!

Would you like to relax with friends and get inspired? Stop by and sit a spell in our new lounge where you can browse thru our lending library and find the inspiration you need to get going on a new project.

If you are looking for some Community Service to take part in, look no further. We host Community Service every Monday from 9am to noon for the Sun Country Quilt Guild and you are always welcome to use the classroom to sew Aprons for Autism. We have had a great response and many requests for Aprons so your help is both needed and appreciated.

Our new building houses not one but TWO long arms. Feel free to drop off your quilt for beautiful edge to edge quilting at reasonable prices. Just $1 an inch the width of your quilt top will get your quilt quilted and ready to bind. If you need help with binding we will help you. You can drop by anytime to get help finishing your quilt or take advantage of our binding services.

The JOY Project

There is still time to participate in our JOY Project! Simply make a 12 inch finished block. No batting or quilting is required, simply pillow case your block to finish the edges. The block must say JOY on the front and have a 2 inch sleeve on the back. Bring it in before October 1st and receive a free yard of fabric. We have had an amazing response and are looking forward to many more JOY blocks. They are all unique and creative just like quilters.

Everyone can participate even if you live too far away to come by the shop. Simply mail in your block along with your favorite color and a mailing address and we will mail you a yard of fabric.

Shop Hop Block of the Month

In January we will begin a new adventure. The Shop Hop Block of the Month will begin in Willows at Quilt Corral. Space is limited so sign up today at any of the shops listed below.

Quilt Corral, Quilt Culture, Blue Heart, Sew Simple, Hokemas, Sew Katie Jean, Villa Rosa, Country Pines, Fabric Garden, and Cloth Carousel.

Sign up is just $25 and you get the book when you sign up then you get to experience one of these shops each month when you pick up your block kit for just $25 per month. You have the entire month to pick up your block and a list of the shops and what month they have will be emailed to in December. It’s a fun way to do a shop hop and a block of the month at the same time and really take time to enjoy what each shop has to offer. Of course, there will be swag bags and special prize drawings at every shop for you.
