WOW what a beginning to a new year and a new mission. Aprons for Autism has taken off like a rocket. The global support we have received is AMAZING! We are so grateful for everyone that is joining in to help with this important project. To give you an idea of the reach of our project, we have shipped kits, labels or aprons to the following places. Texas, Michigan, South Dakota, Georgia, California, Maine, Alabama, Wisconsin, Vermont, West Virginia, Arkansas, Indiana, New York, Idaho, North Carolina, Minnesota, Indiana, Florida, Montana, British Colombia Canada, Colorado, Tennessee, Oregon, Kentucky, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Maryland, and Ireland. A pleasant surprise was a request from a quilt shop in Northern Minnesota to join in the project and sell kits at their shop to help get more people involved. Studio 53 in International Falls Minnesota, we thank you. Also we need to thank the Sewing Divas that are not only making aprons to donate but also scaled the pattern down to fit smaller children/toddlers. Great Job! Our video on YouTube “How to Make an Apron” has reached over 15 thousand views in just a month! The video has reached not only people in the United States but also the UK, Australia, Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada and Germany. Our goal of 100,000 Aprons in 1 year seemed a little unrealistic until now. Now we feel like “maybe we can do this” “this might actually happen”. With global help we can reach great heights and help countless families across the globe. Autism is affecting almost everyone, whether you know someone that has autism or not, chances are soon you will. So, thank you to everyone on the planet. We couldn’t do it without you.
