Quilting Joy Shop Hop — Privacy Policy

About this policy
Quilting Joy Shop Hop collects only what it needs to run the game, and never sells your information. This policy explains what the Quilting Joy Shop Hop game (the “app”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Quilting Joy Shop Hop is made by Quilt Culture, a sole proprietorship owned by Natalie Caldwell, 784 Stonewall Street North, McKenzie, Tennessee 38201, United States (“we,” “us”). This policy applies to the app on Android and iPhone and to any website version of the game.

Information we collect
We collect only the following, and only while you use the app.

Your first name: you type it when you start the game, so other quilters know who you are.

Where you live (optional): you may type a town or state, such as “McKenzie, TN,” or leave it blank.

Your quilter picture and game piece: you choose these from pictures in the game.

Game progress: quilts sewn, chits, rolls, fabrics, classes and shop upgrades, created as you play.

Chat messages: what you type in the game chat.

Purchase records: when you buy rolls or chits, the app store tells us the purchase went through so we can deliver it.

An app ID for your device or account: a random code the app creates so your saved game can be found again.

We do not collect your email address, phone number, contacts, photos, exact location, or payment card details. We do not use advertising, ad tracking, or analytics that follow you across other apps.

How we use and share it
We use your information only to run the game: to save your progress, show your name and town to other players (on the leaderboard, in chat and in shared events), deliver what you buy, and answer you when you contact us.

Other players can see your first name, your town if you entered one, your quilter picture, your quilt count, and your chat messages.

We share information only with the service providers that run the app for us, and only so they can do that job. Google (Google Play and Google Firebase) stores saved games and processes purchases made on Android. Apple (App Store) processes purchases made on iPhone.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of players.

Purchases
Rolls, chits and bundles are optional. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own privacy policies. We never see or store your card details.

Children
Quilting Joy Shop Hop is made for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it
We keep your saved game for as long as you play. If you don’t open the app for 2 years, we may delete your saved game.

Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your saved game, name, town and chat messages at any time by emailing us (see Contact us). We will delete them within 30 days. Purchase records that the law requires us to keep are kept only as long as required.

Security
Your saved game is stored with Google’s secure cloud services. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices
You can change your name and town at any time by tapping your picture in the game. You can leave your town blank. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your state’s privacy laws, and we will honor them.

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Big changes will also be announced in the app.
